Sandra received her MBA from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration. Ms. Walder’s international experiences have led her to positions as a consultant, Executive Project Manager and partner at international firm, UsersInnovate. She is an author and educational entrepreneur as the founder of Microschool, LLC. Ms. Walder is one of the original “founding families” of Verdi EcoSchool and currently enjoys living on the Space Coast with her family as an AirBnB owner/operator.
Sara is a curator, florist, and resident of Melbourne Beach. A native of the area, she returned to Brevard in 2006 to own/operate Thallo Floral Design Studio. In 2012, she began working as curator of education at the Renee Foosaner Education Center, Florida Institute of Technology. While in that position, she revitalized and renovated the community art and summer camp program, created exhibition-related educational programming, and developed community events including April in Paris. During her tenure Sara met Ayana and began working towards ways to integrate Verdi EcoSchool into the EGAD landscape. Sara received a B.A. in Religious Studies from Eckerd College which sparked her love for learning and fostered an understanding of the value of empowering individuals to improve the world through mastery of self and a lifetime of learning, both inside the classroom and the community we live in.
Denise is an educator, artist, and resident of Eau Gallie. She studied Fine Arts and Graphic Design at Flagler College and completed her graduate degree in Art Education at Boston University. Denise has taught and held administrative roles within the museum, public school, gallery, and non-profit settings. She is a specialist in arts integration – an approach to teaching that integrates art as a primary pathway to understand concepts across multiple disciplines and content areas.
Denise is a patient and dedicated teacher with over a decade of experience. She seeks to maintain an inquisitive, creative, kind, and safe learning environment. At the Verdi EcoSchool, Denise wears many hats as administrator, arts integration specialist, educator, and board member. When not at the Verdi EcoSchool, you can expect Denise to be traveling, cooking, gardening, renovating her house with her husband Matt, or snuggling her dogs.
Commander Claycomb has worked in law enforcement for 27 years. He has served with the Melbourne Police Department for 21 years and has been a commander since 2010. Over the course of his career, Commander Claycomb has served in multiple divisions, including Operations/Patrol, Professional Standards, and Support Services. At present, he oversees the Criminal Investigations Divisions, however, he is moving to the Special Operations Division. Marc recently graduated from the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy Program at Quantico, Virginia. He gained a wealth of knowledge and developed international relationships through completing the program.
Steve has held many roles in businesses of all shapes and sizes from busboy in the family restaurant at the age of 9 to Director of Operations for a $20 billion dollar global organization serving clients like Microsoft, Dell, Cisco and the Department of Justice. His formal education is in education and he has spent over 20 years in IT, joining a startup in the late 90’s that was acquired several times before becoming part of Experis IT, a ManpowerGroup company.
After a successful career in corporate America, Steve left the enterprise to help small to midsize businesses scale by eliminating the need for heroic effort as the founder of the Catalyst Business Consulting Group. When he's not working or spending time with family Steve volunteers in youth ministry and mentors entrepreneurs in and around his home in Melbourne Beach, Florida.
Simone is a science fiction/fantasy author and an English Literature professor at Full Sail University. Simone holds a Ph.D in Comparative literature from Purdue University and has taught creative writing, composition and foreign language (Italian) at a high school and university level.
