From protest signs to pink hats, students will examine visual art as a viable vehicle for creating positive change. We will explore the historical lineage of protest and the crucial role art plays in communicating our concerns to the world around us. An array of art making techniques will be taught such as sign making, the construction of peace flags and wearable art. We will use our skills to make our own protest art, culminating in an art show in the Eau Gallie Arts District.
