In the Plant-Based Home Economics Course, students will explore the benefits of environmental stewardship through age-appropriate garden-to-table cooking labs and seasonal crafting. We’ll question the impact of our food consumption through games and discussion as well as learn about natural ingredients and greener approaches to living! Example activities include sweet & savory cooking/baking; simple herb gardening for food, teas, & skincare; floral arranging & mindful gifting; whole body- homemade toothpaste, body butter, & brown sugar scrubs; herb drying & oil infusions and more.
