Through discovery and exploration, students will learn the necessities of garden and animal care, as well as components of each that allow both plants and animals to survive and thrive. Students will learn about topics such as the importance of water and nutrients, soil components, soil temperature and soil amendments, insect friends and foes and what makes a perfect habitat for survival.
12:30-12:45 (15 MIN) - ARRIVAL/OUTDOOR EXPLORATION
12:45-1:00 (15 MIN) - MORNING MEETING
1:00-1:45 (45 MIN) - GARDENING ACTIVITIES
1:45-2:30 (45 MIN)- SNACK AND OUTDOOR EXPLORATION
2:30-3:15 (45 MIN) - ANIMAL CARE
3:15-3:30 (15 MIN) - CLOSING CIRCLE/ OUTDOOR EXPLORATION
Students who are registered in the Thursday morning 9:00am-12:00pm course will stay on campus for lunch from 12:00-12:30pm.
