Students will be taken on a musical journey around the world. We will study and learn to play rhythms from cultures across the globe, and how these rhythms and musical stylings have shaped the music we have today here in America. By the end of the course, students will have a better understanding of how these global rhythms have been assimilated into our culture , and how rhythm can have a major impact in the way music feels and sounds to the listener.
