TOUR AND APPLY

OPEN HOUSE

Open Houses offer prospective families the opportunity to hear our vision, tour the campus, and meet our educators. Join us for an information-packed evening where we will share highlights of each of our student-centered programs and take participants on a journey throughout our community campus, and answer any questions you may have!

As a COVID-19 safety precaution, masks are required for adults on the Verdi EcoSchool campus, both inside and outside. Masks are required for ages 5 and up only when touring inside spaces.

OUR NATURE IMMERSION AND JOURNEYS PROGRAMS ARE CURRENTLY FULL AND ON A WAITLIST

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, our small school has received a large influx of applications. The full application process is estimated to take around two to three months. Follow the steps below to be considered for any opening spots available in the 2020-2021 or 2021-2022 school year. If a program is currently full, these steps apply to be added to the official waitlist.

STEPS TO ENROLLMENT

STEP 1

Verdi EcoSchool strives to ensure that our application fee does not pose a barrier to any student and family wishing to apply for admission to our school. If you feel that your financial circumstances might qualify you for an application fee waiver, you can request a fee waiver by clicking on the Application Fee Waiver Form below.

STEP 2

STEP 3

PARENT/GUARDIAN EDUCATION COURSE

VERDI ECOSCHOOL 101

Verdi EcoSchool 101 is a 2.25-hour course designed to inform prospective parents about the educational approaches, policies, and procedures at the Verdi EcoSchool and a necessary step in the application process. Since our practices differ in many ways from traditional schools, we require this course as a prerequisite to enrollment to provide clear expectations, answer your questions, and ensure best-fit between the school and family. Each parent/guardian of families seeking enrollment is required to attend a Verdi EcoSchool 101 course.

*The Verdi EcoSchool 101 Parent Education Course has been moved to an online video chat platform to honor COVID-19 social distancing protocols.

STEP 4

EDUCATOR PARENT MEET-AND-GREET

A parent meet-and-greet is a time for us to get to know your family better! The intention is for us to answer your questions 1-on-1, and to learn about your child(ren) as well as what type of learning environment you are looking for.

*Parent Meet and Greets have been moved to online video chats to honor COVID-19 social distancing protocols.

STEP 5

STUDENT TRIAL DAY

If the school and family seem to be a good fit for each other, your educator will work with you to schedule a trial day. A trial day is a day in which your child will be dropped off at the school to experience a typical day in their prospective program.

STEP 6

ADMINISTRATOR MEET-AND-GREET

After Parent Education Courses are complete, the final step is to schedule a meet-and-greet with a school administrator.
