A moment of silence.
Our first community workday was yesterday. It seemed fitting to sow new life on this day - to appreciate the present. To revel in new growth.
The seed of community has been firmly planted and it felt good to meet new friends and make connections with kindred spirits.
There were children present - learning what it means to use the earth sustainably, responsibly.
At 8:45am we observed a moment of silence - remembering that day 15 years ago when our worlds were shaken with loss and despair.
We are thankful for these gifts: life, growth and the potential of tomorrow.
We will never forget.
