About the Event

Ever wondered about the animals who call the forest home? In Eyes of the Forest Camp, campers learn about the animals that live in the hammocks of coastal Florida, from blue jays and bobcats to armadillos and gopher tortoises. We look for tracks, identify signs of wildlife, listen for birds and play in the woods. Our week ends with a kayaking adventure along Turkey Creek! If you are curious about wildlife, this camp is for you!

Counselor in Training (CITs)

This program is designed to teach campers ages 16-18 the skills needed for leadership and future employment. We teach our CITs how to be leaders and positive role models to those around them through theory and practice. We assign duties and create and maintain performance expectations for these young leaders. We treat them with gentleness, love, and respect and show them how to carry out responsibilities and how to use their abilities to become excellent role models. CITs must attend a mandatory Training June 26th and 27th.
