ECO-HIGH: PROJECT ZOO
'"Everyone is different, yet similar here. Everyone here has a different personality and way of thinking, but they all still have a common thread: Everyone, no matter how different, is free to be themselves. Everyone is searching for a place where they belong. They’re searching for a community and we’re all fighting to keep our community strong through thick and thin. No matter how different we seem, we still have something in common that we share."

Verdi EcoSchool is proud to announce an exciting immersive new partnership
with the internationally recognized Brevard Zoo!
Eco-High, an innovative high school for students interested in designing their own educational journey through a place and project-based lens, is moving to the Brevard Zoo! Students invited to join the program will spend three days of each school week learning, designing and working on the Brevard Zoo campus.
For Eco-High students, place is defined as the immediate community and the primary resource for learning. Place can be the schoolyard, a neighborhood or a community; this environment serves as the backdrop for all educational experiences, providing context for tangible, hands-on and real life learning. The Brevard Zoo will become a new campus for Eco-High students who are passionate about diving into a high school program that features three specialized tracks: Sustainability Studies, Agricultural Science and Agri-Business.
“In our conversations with The Brevard Zoo, it became abundantly clear that we share a vision of what education could be—and we are honored to enter into a partnership that will change what high school can be for students in our community.”

We are very excited to be part of a movement reimagining how we can use treasured resources: spaces, places and organizations to reinvigorate how students experience school.
